Lesson · The NeuraIQ Method

Risk : reward (R:R)

R:R compares what you'd lose if the stop hits versus what you'd gain if the target hits. At 2:1 you make twice what you risk when right — so you can be wrong more than half the time and still come out ahead. The system demands at least 2:1.
📌 For instance ·
You buy at Rs 500 with your stop at Rs 480 - Rs 20 at risk (1R). Your target Rs 540 is Rs 40, or 2R. Take ten such trades: even if only 4 hit target, you gain 4x2R and lose 6x1R = +2R net. Winning under half the time still comes out ahead - provided the 2:1 was real, not a target you stretched to justify the trade.
🎯 PracticeTest your judgment on the Practice DeskDecide take-or-skip on real, closed setups, then see what happened →असली, बंद setup पर लो-या-छोड़ो तय करो, फिर देखो क्या हुआ →
🧮 Work it through — is this trade's R:R good enough?

❓ Common questions ·
If R:R is so powerful, why not aim for 5:1 every time?
Because far targets get hit far less often. A 5:1 that fills only 1 in 6 times can lose money, while a realistic 2:1 that hits 45% wins steadily. R:R and win-rate move together - stretch the target and you quietly cut your hit rate. Keep it honest.
How do I know my target is realistic, not wishful?
Anchor it to something on the chart - the next resistance, a prior swing high, a measured move - not a round number you'd like. If the only way to reach 2:1 is an invented target, the trade doesn't qualify. Better to skip than to fudge the maths.

A trade risks Rs 10 to make Rs 20 (2:1). You're right only 45% of the time. Over many trades, what happens?
A setup offers Rs 15 upside to target but Rs 15 downside to the stop (1:1). What does the system say?
