RSI is a 0–100 momentum gauge. Above ~70 a stock is 'overbought' (stretched up), below ~30 'oversold' (stretched down). It flags extremes — but a strong stock can stay overbought a while, so RSI is a clue, not a trigger.

Not by itself. Overbought means stretched, not doomed - in a strong uptrend a stock can stay above 70 for a long stretch, and selling early just leaves money on the table. RSI is a clue to pay attention, best paired with price action at a level, not a trigger on its own.
